My weight is getting to be a problem (there being too much of it), so I looked around for something that might help in my endeavours to reduce same. I came across MyFitnessPal, which has more or less what I was looking for - a way of keeping myself informed of what my intake and/or energy output has been over a period of days. The site looks pretty good - calm blues and whites.
Joining them is easy (and free), it took me about 5 minutes.
The calorie counter and exercise calculator seem to work very well, as do the reports that they produce - gives you an immediate visual overview of where you've been. You can even predict when you'll reach your target weight, provided you continue on present course.
The calorie counter is fast and easy to use (save European concerns below), and will teach you something of the nutritional conent of what you consume.
I had two minor concerns. One was that the site is very much US-oriented, particularly in the nomenclature of the food; we in the UK don't really know what Oreos are.... or any burgers other than the big M.
The second was the lack of a downloadable MyFitnessPal application - it would be much better if one didn't have to go to the site every time to update/review. But then I would probably have to pay for it, whereas what I have now is free, and very useful.
